“The foundation of everything we do is compassion and empathy and service and sacrifice and suffering. Letting each person be who they are uniquely created to be. Meeting anyone who shows up with love, no judgement, no barriers, no requirements, no conditions, no nothing.”

Cole Meckle, Pastor
I have deep ties to Lewis County (born and raised, Rochester High class of ‘88). After graduation, I built custom cars - you can still see some of my hot rods around town. In 1992, I had a spiritual awakening and moved to the Seattle area to attend Trinity College. It was there that I met my wife, Kat. In 2003 we moved to Vancouver, B.C., where I earned my Masters of Divinity at Regent College. After moving back to the states, I spent several years in the Lynnwood area, pastoring a church and then working at Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission as a program director. When Kat and I felt the call to plant a socio-economically diverse church, we moved back to Lewis County. Other than my family, Gather, and serving the poor, there are three things that I love: cycling, talking, and cycling.
Patty Howard, Associate Pastor
I grew up in Seattle and went to Whitworth College in Spokane, majoring in English and education. I taught for 30 years, mostly high school English, but also Spanish, journalism, and even band. I came to Gather in 2014 as a congregant and in 2018 I was ordained in the church and came on staff as associate pastor. As the scope of Gather's work has increased in Lewis County, my role has expanded, and I truly enjoy all of the opportunities I have to love and serve people and to watch God work in their lives. I have two sons who are married to wonderful young women, and one grandson whom I adore. I enjoy hiking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Elders
Gather is a community led by a group of elders. Our current elders are Steve Brown, Lilly Lo, Todd Morris, and Triss Stanfield.
